Charlie Batch will join Pittsburgh Musical Theater in their production of Peter Pan, opening this week at the Byham Theater!

Opening night (Thursday, April 23, 2015) and select performances will feature a guest appearance from former Pittsburgh Steeler turned Neverland Pirate, Charlie Batch. This is the second year Batch has joined the Pittsburgh Musical Theater cast, appearing last year as a circus strongman in the production of “Seussical the Musical.”

“Most people who know me say I’m just a big kid at heart, so a production that sings ‘I won’t grow up’ may just be a perfect fit for me,” said Batch. “I’m honored that the Pittsburgh Musical Theater is making room for me on their stage again this year.”

In partnership with Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Batch is sponsoring a book drive at the Byham Theater to benefit his Best of the Batch Foundation, an organization dedicated giving Pittsburgh city kids a safe place to learn and grow. Ticket holders for Peter Pan are encouraged to bring a new copy of their favorite book to the theater. Donations will be accepted at Byham Theater, 101 6th Street Pittsburgh, Pa, 15220 from April 23- May 3rd, 2015

“We are proud to support the Best of the Batch Foundation through this book drive,” said Colleen Petrucci, Executive Artistic Director of Pittsburgh Musical Theater production of “Peter Pan.” “Peter Pan is a delightful show for the whole family, and having Charlie on stage with us just adds to the fun.”

Peter Pan is directed by Michael Licatta with musical direction from Dr. Brent Alexander, choreography by Lisa Elliott.
