This week, the New York Times, Associated Press, Sun Herald, New Pittsburgh Courier, and many other publications ran a story about Charlie’s work with the Trust,  an  NFL program that helps former players transition into their post-football lives.

The article quotes Charlie saying, “The average NFL career is only three years, so at some point, we will be a former – a lot more than an active – player. This is something the players have earned, and it’s there for them. There are between 15,000 and 16,000 former players, and more each year.”
