Charlie Batch Presents Keynote Speech at 2016 Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference

Today, the Indiana Gazette reported that Charlie Batch, a former quarterback in the National Football league and a two-time Super Bowl champion, will give the keynote speech at this year’s Pennsylvania Sports Business Conference.

Batch now serves as a community advocate, author and motivational speaker following a 15-year career in the NFL. The conference, which will promote discussion about the ways diversity is demonstrated in the sports industry, will be held at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 16, and Batch will present his speech at 10:30 a.m.

Charlie Batch and Steelers Players Shoot Hoops for Good Cause

On Friday night, Charlie Batch joined Louis Lipps, Cameron Heyward, Landry Jones and other Steelers greats on the basketball court to face off against a faculty and staff team from Freeport Area School District to raise money for the school’s girls and boys basketball teams.

The crowd of more than 700 fans cheered for teachers just as loudly as they cheered for the Steelers team.

Charlie sunk a number of baskets, signed some jerseys, and told the Pittsburgh Trib: “I love interacting with the fans, playing basketball, and having a chance to have some fun.”
