Charlie Batch recently came together with projectart to help local kids participate in free after-school art classes at public libraries. The projectart programs are now available at six area Carnegie libraries. To promote the organization, WQED-TV aired a three-minute video about the program. On Friday, Charlie Batch joined fellow Pittsburgh Steelers for a charity basketball game against the faculty at Saltsburg High School. The game included an autograph session during half time. The local Indiana Gazette was there to cover the big game. See the article and photos here.
Today, WPIAL announced that Charlie Batch will be inducted into the WPIAL Hall of Fame! Other members of the class of 2019 inductees include Bruce Gradkowski and Paul Posluszny. On Feb. 13, Charlie had a great time hanging out with Jeff Hartings at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh for their projectart program. The kids were AWESOME! On January 3, Charlie Batch joined PA Governor Tom Wolf , Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, and other special guests to unveil the Butter Sculpture at the 103rd PA Farm Show in Harrisburg. The theme of this year's butter sculpture is "Find Your Power," and the carvings made from a half-ton of butter depict doctors, athletes, soldiers, firefighters and dairy farmers in superhero capes.
